The German International School Boston is a non-profit membership corporation that is organized under Massachusetts law, is guided by a set of by-laws, and is governed by a Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees is the ultimate decision making authority of the school. Its goal is to establish and direct the school’s policies and make sure that the school is a success now and in the future.
The Board is responsible for the financial matters of the school and oversees the managements of its assets as well as fundraising. Each year, the school is audited by a certified public accountant.
The Board works in various committees and meets together with the principal and the Consul General regularly to discuss and decide school matters.

Associated With the Board:
The school receives support from the Federal Republic of Germany and meets the requirements of a "Deutsche Auslandsschule". The Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Boston or his/her authorized
representative are invited to all meetings of the Board of Trustees and have an important consulting role.
